Confidential self-assessment tests

Three standard questionnaires you can complete here on the page. Your answers stay in your browser: nothing is saved, sent or shared, and no name or email address is required.

Choose the questionnaire that fits your concern

Each test opens in a window on this page, asks one question at a time and shows your result as soon as you finish. You can retake any of them.

Depression symptom self-assessment

Nine questions about how often certain difficulties have bothered you over the past two weeks, covering mood, interest, sleep, energy, appetite, concentration and self-critical thoughts. You receive a total score with a description of the symptom range it falls into.

Useful if you have been feeling flat, exhausted or hopeless and want a clearer sense of how heavy the past fortnight has actually been.

The result is for self-awareness only. It is a screening reflection, not a clinical diagnosis, and only a qualified professional can assess what you are experiencing in context.

Obsessive compulsive symptom self-assessment

Eighteen questions about how much specific experiences have distressed you over the past month, across washing, checking, ordering, obsessing, hoarding and neutralising. You receive a total score and a breakdown by symptom type.

Useful if intrusive thoughts, repeated checking, rituals or compulsive behaviour are taking up time or causing distress.

The result is for self-awareness only. It is a screening reflection, not a clinical diagnosis, and only a qualified professional can assess what you are experiencing in context.

Romantic attachment style self-assessment

Thirty-six statements about how you experience closeness in romantic relationships. Your answers are scored on two dimensions, anxiety and avoidance, and placed on a chart with a description of the pattern they are most consistent with.

Useful if the same difficulties keep returning in relationships: fear of being left, difficulty relying on a partner, or withdrawing when things get close.

The result is for self-awareness only. It is a screening reflection, not a clinical diagnosis, and only a qualified professional can assess what you are experiencing in context.

If a result concerns you, or you would rather read something practical first, the free self-help workbooks cover several of the same areas. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number or nearest emergency department.
